Problem Corner
Every month, Professional Surveyor Magazine presents
two surveying problems in our print magazine as a challenge to hone the skills of
our readers. We publish the solutions here. (Note
that the problems and solutions are presented as PDFs. To view these, you'll need Adobe Reader, which you can get here.)
Please send any questions or comments about problems to Shelly.
And feel free to discuss problems and solutions at the problem corner forum in our discussion boards.
NOTES:

*Updated*
Problem 216's solution has been miscalculated. The new solution is posted below, along with an explanation (click Discussion). Thanks, readers, for so diligently working this out and letting us know!
Problem 208 has a typo in the print version of the problem itself. The east line has a distance of 1009.04, but it should be 1109.04. The problem and solution online both use the correct distance of 1109.04. Sorry for any confusion this has caused.
