Keystone Aerial Surveys, Inc.

Corporate Profile

Keystone Aerial Surveys, Inc. (KAS) has specialized in the collection of high quality aerial photography and remote sensing data since 1963. KAS has flown millions of survey miles throughout North America, including Mexico and Canada. We have offices located in Philadelphia, PA; Tyler, TX; Benson, AZ; and Los Angeles, CA. Our flight department has considerable experience collecting both Airborne GPS (ABGPS) and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) data along with lidar and airborne imagery at high and low altitudes in several formats including digital (RGB, NIR, 4-band) and film (black and white, color positive, negative and infrared).

KAS offers the GIS community experienced, professional crews equipped with high quality, state of the art equipment consisting of 4 Microsoft UltraCam large format digital sensors, 12 Metric film cameras (6”, 8.25” & 12” lens cones); 1 Optech Gemini LiDAR system @ 167 kHz, and 5 Applanix 510 POS/AV IMU Systems. With nineteen survey aircraft, you have increased assurance that your project will be completed on time regardless of limited weather conditions or sun angle.

Keystone’s complement of aircraft is your fleet for platform needs. Keystone has extensive experience configuring and operating airplanes with a multitude of sensors. Whether your sensor is a proven commercial payload, confidential-proprietary payload, R&D payload, or destined for use in current or future Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), our services range from simple installation and operation to assisting in the development, mounting and implementation of prototype sensors. Platform services are available throughout North America.

Keystone is now a licensed DG reseller offering 30cm high resolution imagery of the contiguous US. Lab services include scanning via 4 Leica DSW scanners, high resolution digital enlargements and custom products from our extensive digital and film libraries.

Visit our imagery portal at for direct digital, film, and airborne magnetometer survey data archives. Built on the powerful Microsoft BING interface, KASView enables you to search for imagery by state, city, date, and imagery type. KASView also allows uploading of shapefiles to help identify applicable projects and automatically select the imagery that covers the area of interest.
