Nordic walking to promote weight loss?

NORDIC WALKING IS A DYNAMIC SPORT THAT WORKS THE WHOLE BODY AND PROMOTES WEIGHT LOSS.

What is Nordic walking?
Nordic walking, otherwise known as Scandinavian walking, is a dynamic sport that is generally practiced outdoors. Poles are used to accentuate the movement of the arms and thus propel the body forward more easily. Sticks allow you to walk faster and longer. Practiced by cross-country skiers during the summer months to continue training, Nordic walking is a discipline that uses almost every muscle in the body: "You work your legs and arms at the same time. The poles are an additional support that allows you to walk faster and more easily and to have a better balance".

Why does Nordic walking make weight loss easier?

Thus, the abdominals, arms, pectorals, shoulders and neck are as much solicited as the buttocks, thighs and calves. Greater energy expenditure promotes weight loss (especially fat loss) and reduces the pressure on the joints of the lower body (knees and ankles in particular). By working on endurance, Nordic walking encourages the body to draw on fat to support the effort. Practicing this activity regularly will thus help burn calories and refine your figure. In addition to facilitating weight loss, the position of the body during the walk promotes lung amplitude and oxygenation and thus allows you to breathe better. The planting of sticks on the ground leads to the strengthening of the bones (thanks to the vibrations) and this without attacking the joints.

How to practice Nordic walking to lose weight?
Scandinavian walking is an activity that brings pleasure, well-being and tonicity. Because of the simplicity of its technique, it is suitable for everyone, regardless of age and physical condition. You can easily adapt the practice by reducing the walking rhythm, the distance covered... The pace of Nordic walking is relatively steady compared to that of a traditional walk. It is advised to practice 2 hours of walking with breaks every 20 minutes, just to do some stretching.

Nordic walking can be tried in a park, a forest or in town. Some classes are intense, but there are groups of beginners (usually 4 to 15 people) in which the pace is less sustained. 

It can also be practiced indoors and offers to build up muscles without hurting oneself.
