It is possible to ‘design’ a diamond ring online. You would participate in the designing about as much as if it was in person. You see, there is just so much one can do with a ring and a diamond or two or three.

After having worked in my friends’fine jewelry store for over 20 years, I have to roll my eyes and breathe when I am told that the husband-to-be designed the ring. Sure, he did. Perhaps all those slick magazines designed it, or the jewelry salesman that came by or maybe, he is a genius.

A good example is the diamond engagement ring purchased and designed by Prince Harry. Bride wasted no time in dragging herself to Lorraine Schwartz in NYC and had the jeweler make her ring look like all the rest that were in stock. Now, she must feel special.
