Most forklifts have a three point suspensionjoint. They are the two front wheels of the forklift and the pivot point of therare axle. Connecting these three points, it makes a stability triangle whichis essential to maintain the balance of the forklift. Every aspect of a forkliftmust be inspected before purchasing the forklifts for sale. When at rest, the centre ofgravity of the forklift lies between the stability triangle. However, when inmotion, it's centre of gravity shifts. Anytime it leaves the imaginary line ofthe stability triangle; the forklift is likely to tip over. The forklift’s centreof gravity moves when it accelerates, put a brake or take a turn. This can bemore dangerous when the lift is loaded, but an unloaded forklift can also tipover because of the weight of the counterbalance, which is why driving safelyis essential even if the forklift is not loaded. |
