I'm selling analemmatic sundials to schools as an interactive learning project.

There are a few ways of finding north. Currently I use the sun. I developed a program that will make a 'high noon' calendar for each day of the year (within a few seconds) that works only with the longitude of the sundial.

sometimes this is inconvenient because of cloud cover.
I'm working on other suggestions for schools to find north (without spending much)
It's for children. Kids love them. Do you think a surveyor would do this voluntary or at a greatly reduced rate?
