I am trying to compare two Total Stations: 1. Trimble M3 DR 5" Total Station 2. TOPCON GPT-3207NW Does anybody have any experience or knowledge of these instruments? I read in a 2009 Article that the TOPCON GPT-3100 series are considered "Top End". Does anybody know about this Trimble M3 DR 5" ?

A little update a Trimble M3:

It is same as Nikon Nivo C only change in name.

Just see the user manual extracts of Nivo C and see the accuracy levels in standard mode

See the structure of the total station and total weight of the system it looks difficult to stand tough for that accuracy level claimed.

If you get the demo see the angle variation even when the instrument is still at a place.

Topcon it is again a tried and tested and looks the same performer as Trimble M3.

Why don't you look for some other good performers?
