Driving can be stressful, especially when you're new to the road. It 'sit's essential to take it slow and follow all of the road rules to ensure that you make it home safely every day. If you encounter a traffic signal on your daily driver commute or when driving across town, there are certain things you need to know about how they work for them not to cause any problems for you.
Only attempt to cross if your vehicle stalls at a railroad crossing and the traffic light are red. Wait for the green light and try to restart your vehicle immediately. If your vehicle fails to start, get out of the car and stand on the sidewalk (away from railroad tracks). Do not try to push or pull your vehicle off of the ways; this can be extremely dangerous! Slow down and proceed with caution when you come to a flashing yellow traffic signal. If you are able, stop at the intersection. If not, proceed with caution. Driver for school pick up usually look up for these signs. |
