As a hearing disorder, tinnitus can be Tinnitus 911 Review  extremely distracting and annoying; which is why so many sufferers search for tinnitus relief. The noises heard are usually most noticeable in quiet surroundings; which causes many people to struggle to get to sleep at night. This, combined with a reduction in normal hearing function, makes tinnitus a very distressing condition to endure.

Tinnitus usually only affects people in the short term, and may occur as a result of listening to loud music, of having a bad head cold, or possibly of sustaining a head injury. I say 'may' because the cause(s) are not conclusively known. Some people suffer from long-term tinnitus, for which it has long been believed there is no cure. The majority of people in either case will often hear a low-frequency noise such as droning. Some people have good days when the noise is bearable or even occasionally almost non-existent, but it's always there to some degree.

There are, however, some rarer symptoms. Some people will hear music playing, whilst others will have pulsatile tinnitus, which manifests as a beating in time to their pulse. This latter example could itself be a symptom of high blood pressure. It has even been recorded that, in extreme cases, other people have heard the noises emanating from a tinnitus sufferer's ears.
