I am going to explain a few easy ways to do this. 

To start losing weight we want to improve our metabolic rate which is the means our body uses to burn carbohydrates and proteins to gain the energy we require. We need to decide on an exercise program that encompasses weight training and aerobics. The aerobics will burn fat if we do regular workouts of at least 40 minutes daily. The weight training will help build your lean muscle mass and replace muscle we may have lost to age or lack of exercise. 

By doing this you will be burning calories long after your workout, at your desk or even when sleeping. Through the combination of these two important exercise groups, aerobic and anaerobic being weight training, you improve your metabolic rate allowing you to burn excess weight. You should always have three regular meals a day and one snack and is important not to skip any meals or cut back your calorie intake significantly.
