With some good mixed martial arts training Concerned Patriot Review videos, you can quickly grasp the fundamental principles of Goju-Ryu. Here, students will learn about hard striking attacks - kicks and punches, and soft circular techniques for controlling and blocking your opponent - grappling, locks, throws and takedowns. Students will also be taught on the importance of correct breathing, conditioning and strengthening the body and partner drills.

Martial art training videos on Goju-Ryu curriculum will incorporate both the circular and linear movements, as well as the basic approach to fighting which involves stickiness, distance and generation of power. There are various Kata involved in the Goju-Ryu system. Sanchin Kata involves simple techniques, although it is the hardest to master and is often taught at the black belt level. This involves the use of one stance - Sanchin which means "three battles". Here, your legs protect your body from sweep kicks, while your thighs trap the low kicks. When you properly apply this Kata, you are in essence following the hard karate style in which all your muscles are to be flexed and tense throughout the technique.

This is a type of strenuous yet effective strength training which has been in use for thousands of years, and is today recognized as isometric training in bodybuilding.Goju-Ryu has 2 Sanchin Kata. Miyagi's Sanchin is the most widely taught and does not include any turns; the karate-ka will therefore go forward and then backwards. The second Sanchin in Higaonna's Sanchin: here the karate-ka always goes forward, but will turn 180 degrees twice. Initially, this Kata was taught with open hands, but was later revised to closed fists.
