I have a degree in marketing but no experience and many people tell me that it's easier to start sales and then apply for marketing positions later on. I'm not a new graduate, either. I'm not sure if I can even sell it. If I can't sell, would I even make myself a good marketer? Is sales and marketing a good way to say if I'm going to be good at marketing? In my area, I can't even get a marketing internship because the companies want individuals who are still in college.
